Abstract. During last 20 years the economic profile of the Volga-Akhtuba floodplain territory has been changed greatly. Agricultural plant-growing has been replaced by recreation which is developing now. In the article the authors give the typology of the forms of recreation and the characteristics of some of the forms.
Key words: Volga-Ahtuba floodplain, recreational use of nature, tourism, forms of recreations, natural and territorial complexes.
