Summary: A concept “Mining landscape” is examined in the article. An author is distinguish the stages of development of mining landscapes, the features of their functioning are considered from the point of view of transformation of materially-power connections. According to the approach offered by V.I. Fedotov, paradynamic microzones of sandy and limestone mining landscapes of the Volgograd region are distinguished and described.
