Summary: The peculiarities of zonal structure formation in tissue regenerates after replacement of fullthickness chondral defects by hydroxyapatite – collagen scaffolds («Collapan») were revealed compareing to results of autogenic chondroplasty. The experiments were conducted using 38 knee joints of inbred dogs, and monitoring due to 4, 8, 16 and 24 weeks after grafting. More accurate restoration of articular surface has improved morphologically for the use of the tissue scaffolds like formation of mixed chondral tissue with the partial zonal organization by 16 week.
Key words: articular cartilage, chondroplasty, hydroxyapatite, collagen, bioengineering.
