On October 2–3, 2025, the 7th All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation, "Anthropogenic Transformation of Geospatial Space: Classical Approaches and Current Trends," was held at the Institute of Natural Sciences of Volgograd State University. Holding a conference of this level has become a well-deserved tradition since 2014.
Alla Eduardovna Kalinina, Rector of Volgograd State University, Doctor of Economics, Professor, and Honored Worker of Higher Professional Education, delivered a welcoming address at the plenary session. She noted the value of an integrated approach to the conference's topics, which allows for research at the intersection of various scientific fields. The conference's main topics include monitoring anthropogenic impacts on the natural environment, the use of geoinformation technologies in environmental and geographical research, ensuring environmental safety in production, ecotourism and recreational nature management, environmental and geographical education, and socio-economic and geographical-economic research.
