Summary: The article provides a historical analysis of the views of foreign scholars on the psychological impact to assign them to various psychological approaches and directions. According to the authors, despite the relevance and value tradition siderable development in psychology, the problem of the psychological impact and related phenomena has many unresolved issues. Especially in the study of the influence of individual personality characteristics of the subjects and objects of the phenomenon
on the efficiency of the process.
Key words: historiographical analysis of the category of "impact" study the impact of current trends, the general laws of psychological impact, individual personality factors exposure, predict behavioral effects.
